Curious about how to get a library card at Allerton Public Library? 

Having a Monticello postal address does not necessarily mean you live in Monticello Township. For clarification of what township you live in, you may check your voter’s registration or check what district your residence is located in by checking the map at  Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Geospatial Mapping, Applications, and Research Center (GeoMarc). 

If you live in Monticello Township you are considered a Resident and would be able to get a Resident library card. 

If you live in Sangamon Township you are considered a Non-Resident and would have get a Non-Resident library card. Note: Sangamon Township residents do not automatically qualify for a library card at Allerton Public Library.   

If you live in Goose Creek Township you would have to go to Goose Creek District Library to get a library card.  

If you live in Willow Branch Township you would have to go to Willow Branch Township Library to get a library card.
